Tube union has Livingstone by the balls

As the saying goes, “If you’ve got them by the balls their hearts and minds will follow”.

Reading a bit more detail about the proposed tube strike, that quote just popped into my head. I had originally thought Bob Crow had Livingstone on a leash, it looks like he has a more intimate means of control!

Until we have a Mayor who looks out for all Londoners and not just a narrow band of interest groups, we will keep seeing public money poorly spent after dirty back room deals.

  1. How will Boris arrange a no strike deal when the RMT are completely opposed to such a deal? Only legislation would be able to force the Union to give away their right to strike and Boris has no legislative powers. And the last thing we need is an unsuccessful mayoral candidate, and friend of the road haulage association, to be put in charge of TfL. see < HREF="http://www.guardian.co.uk/politics/2008/mar/27/london08.boris" REL="nofollow">http://www.guardian.co.uk/politics/2008/mar/27/london08.boris<>I wonder what the figures would show comparing the number of days of strike action by London Underground in the last 8 years compared to the previous 8 years? Be fair to Ken, he can make the trains run on time, even with a drunk Kylie in the driving seat.
